Normie Ebert, 88 of Haworth, passed away January 26, 2025 at Texarkana, Texas. She was born October 13, 1936 at Union Grove, the daughter of Joseph Hillie Hudgins and Stella Jane Jones Hudgins. She married Pat Ebert June 6, 1955.
A devout Christian, Normie was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God Church at Haworth. She had an unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior and had read the Bible cover to cover numerous times.
A very gifted seamstress, Normie was a perfectionist and could sew anything she laid her eyes upon. She loved to cook and was well known for her peanut butter cake and coconut cake. One of her greatest accomplishments was writing her life story in her own handwriting for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pat Ebert; sons, Titus Ebert, Marion Ebert; daughter, Beverly Ebert; sisters, Faye Calaway, Joyce Slabaugh; brothers, Melvin “Buddy” Hudgins, Charlie Ray Hudgins and infant brother, Joseph Hudgins; and granddaughter, Amy Pearce.
She is survived by her daughters, Dru Edmondson and husband Don, and Cynthia McGough and husband Patrick; sisters, Ruthel Jennings and husband Kirby, Phyllis “PJ” Robinson, Martha Jane Hudgins; grandchildren, Joshua Ebert, Jamie Murphy and husband Jason, Titus Colton Ebert, Clay Ebert, Breck McGough and wife Laurelin, Lucas Ebert, Keely McGough, Billy Don Edmondson and wife Sophia, Lacy McLain and husband Scott, Skyler Harvey and wife Claire; great-grandchildren, Kacy, Gage, Jax, Chace, Odelia, Adicyn, Kade, Kayla and husband Zach, Chelsea Fuller, Kenzy and husband Jack, Conner; great-great-grandchildren, June, Halle, Haidyn, Saylor; lifelong friend, Donna Delozier; numerous other relatives and friends.
