Pascal "Pete" Strawn

Pascal Ray “Pete” Strawn, 88 of Idabel, passed away June 21, 2023 at Paris, Texas. He was born
November 11, 1934 at Idabel, the son of Virgil Pascal Strawn and Virgie Ray Young Strawn. He married
JoAnn German at Idabel, on September 17, 1960. They had six children.
His daily routine began at the Gemini Coffee Shop where each morning he enjoyed breakfast, visited
with his friends and solved the world’s problems.
An avid outdoorsman, Pascal enjoyed fishing, hunting and driving in the mountains. He loved telling
stories. He was a big OU fan and enjoyed watching the Sooners play football and girls softball.
Pascal is survived by his wife, JoAnn Strawn of the home; sons, James “Jimmy” Virgil Strawn and Beth
Mullins of Livingston, Texas, Virgil Pascal “Bubba” Strawn of Idabel, Michael Ray Strawn of Idabel;
daughters, Debra McGee of Valliant and her special friend Ray Lynn Moore, Cathy Sims and husband Bill
of Shady Point, Oklahoma, Kim Goodman and husband Randy of Idabel; seven grandchildren, Matelan
Sims, Colby McGee, Ethan Strawn, Jordan Strawn, Abbi Strawn, Kyla Strawn, Raylynn Strawn; four great-
grandchildren, Ryker and Brynix Sims and Fisher and Sutton McGee; continuous lifelong friend and
hunting buddy, George Williamson; his beloved dog, Allie; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, John Dillon Strawn; son-in-law, Mark McGee; and
his in-laws, Willie and Eva German.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 24, 2023 at the Denison Cemetery
Pavilion with his grandson Colby McGee officiating. Interment will follow.
