Peggy Joann (Walker) Kuykendall, age 67, passed away December 22,
2025, in McAlester, Oklahoma. She was born January 10, 1958, to
Daniel Walker and Wauleah (Thomas) Wagstaff.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Annie
Mae Walker, Bud Walker, Juanita McAfee, and Pickens Thomas;
grandson, Tyler Schaffer.
Peggy enjoyed playing horseshoes, visiting the casino, and traveling so
much she received her CDL and became a truck driver. Family meant
everything to her, especially her grandchildren, and she treasured
holiday gatherings surrounded by those she loved most. Peggy loved in
her own way. She was known for her strong will and stubbornness,
qualities that showed most during her courageous battle with cancer. She
was a fighter in every sense of the word. She was also proud to have
earned a Certificate of Achievement from EZ Mart, a reflection of her
dedication and perseverance.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Leslie Hall and
husband Billy; her sons, Brandon Walker and Rusty Kuykendall, Sr.; her
grandchildren, Kyle Schaffer, Amber Schaffer, Dominique Kuykendall,
Rusty Kuykendall, Jr., Sarah Haley, Jordan Kuykendall, Alice
Kuykendall, Kase Walker, Kayden Walker, and Sophia Walker; her
great-grandchildren, Isaiah Crudup, Kolby Crudup, Makenna Schaffer,
Gunner Blaze Schaffer, Waylon Schaffer, and Cohen Schaffer; her
brothers, Steve Walker and Darrell Walker; her sisters, Patti Walker,
Penny Walker, Tammy Haasl and husband Ron, and Carolyn McBride;
her special aunt, Mamie Galloway; along with a host of nieces, nephews,
and other loved ones.
Family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday, December 28,
2025 at Clardy Funeral Service Chapel. A celebration of life graveside
service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 29, 2025 at Pollard
Cemetery with Aubrey Thompson officiating. Interment will follow.
