Revena Severn of Idabel, passed away March 2, 2021 at her home at the age of 73. She was born August 4, 1947 at America, Oklahoma. She was a faithful member of the Redland Church of Christ. She and Mark were married at Tom on November 22, 1967.
Revena was an elementary teacher. She worked at Haworth briefly, then Tom, and finished her career out at Idabel Schools, teaching first grade and then working as a curriculum coordinator after her first retirement. She was very wise and gave great advice. She was supportive, brave and strong, and despite her own trials and tribulations, never once complained.
Revena was an avid reader. She enjoyed flower gardening, watching the game show network, college basketball and the Chicago Cubs, doing puzzles and correcting grammar.
Revena is survived by her daughter, Catherine Voss and husband Johnny; granddaughters, Olivia Voss, Victoria Voss, Sarah Voss; brother, Clarence “Nub” Strube and wife Carmen of Ashdown, Arkansas; sister, Norma Dillard and husband Freeman of Ponca City, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Dell Woods of Tom; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Irene Strube; husband, Mark Severn; and sister, Martha Woods.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Redland Church of Christ in Redland Community with Corey Green officiating. Interment will follow at Redland Cemetery.
A visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
