Shawn Keith Dodds

Shawn Keith Dodds, 28, of the America Community, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on December 21, 2022 at Spring, Texas. Shawn was born at Idabel and grew up in America.

Shawn was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Harvey F. Dodds, Sr., Betty Hollaway, maternal grandparents; the Reverend James and Vickie Carrell.

Shawn’s passion in life was his service to God, preaching and singing. He also loved hunting, fishing, team-roping, and gathering with family and friends. His life was one big adventure and children loved Shawn.

Shawn is survived by his father; Harvey F. Dodds, Jr. and wife Karen of Spring, Texas; mother, Stephanie Havens and husband Thomas of Haworth; grandfather, Eddie Leader of Henryetta; step-father, Calvin Friend of America; brothers, James Lawhon and wife Katie of Spring, Texas, Kyle Friend of America; sisters, Heather Scott and husband Timothy of DeKalb, Texas, Kristen Friend of America; numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Shawn was from a very large family and was a community son. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Community Church.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Bokhoma Cemetery Pavilion. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2022, at Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
