Stephen Hopkins, 73 of the Forest Grove Community, passed away July 17, 2020. He was born October 16, 1946, the son of Jack and Nadine Hopkins.
Stephen served in the United States as a paratrooper fighting among the 101st Airborne and the 109th Air Delivery during the Vietnam War.
He was a jack of all trades and was self-employed most of his life, his latest career beginning in 1994 as a cattle rancher and chicken farmer which he loved, as well as his John Deere tractor. He was quiet, stubborn as a mule and loved to joke.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Cheryl of the Forest Grove Community; daughter, Heather Bourne of the Forest Grove Community; son, Larry Bourne of Oklahoma City; granddaughter, Alexis Dickey and husband, Tyler; sister and brother-in-law, Gena and Arthur Fowler of Valliant; special family, Clayton Sliger of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private services will be held.
Family will receive friends, Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
