Susie Harris

Susie Harris, 72 of the Harris Community, passed away April 25, 2020 at Paris, Texas.  She was born September 17, 1947 at Ft. Towson, Oklahoma, the daughter of Luther and Ida Ridenour.  She married Jerry Harris, February 6, 1974 at Hugo, Oklahoma.

Susie was a homemaker, caring and family oriented.  You couldn’t help but love her. She was gifted in her ability to put a smile on your face and brighten your day.  She enjoyed gathering with family and loved the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and gardening.  Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. 

Susie is survived by her husband of forty-six years, Jerry Harris; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Danielle Harris of Mt. Pleasant; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Sharon Ridenour of Hugo and Rex and Barbara Ridenour of Broken Bow; sisters and brothers-in-law, Daisy and Bud Hawthorn of Ft. Towson, Bessie Meredith and significant other, Donnie of Ft. Towson, Lucy and Eddie Fowler of Bakersfield, California and Mamie Greenwalt of Myrtlecreek, Oregon; grandchildren, Pierce Harris and Paycas Raulston; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jennifer Marie Harris; grandson, Zachary Manuel; sisters, Elsie Priddy and Irene Easterwood.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2020 at the Harris Cemetery in the Harris Community. 

Family will greet friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2020 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
