Tequllia "Nikki" Burchfield

Tequllia Nicole “Nikki” Burchfield, 34 of Warner, passed away May 25, 2022 at Muskogee, Oklahoma.  She was born February 17, 1988 at Hugo, Oklahoma. She was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Nikki had a kind and gentle soul and truly cared for her family.  She spoke with them daily to check on them.  Her nephews were her “baby” boys and her niece, Maddie was her “baby” girl. She had a sharp memory and a giving heart.

Some of her favorite things were the color purple, jewelry, bath and body works and makeup.  She received numerous gifts of these items through the years from family and friends and it brought her great joy.  She loved animals, fishing when she was able, painting birdhouses and crocheting.  She was very crafty and would make beaded candy canes and crochet crosses to give them away.  She sent many crosses to the Solomon Islands with Bro. Clements to give to the preachers at the seminary.

She worked at the care facility where she lived helping with laundry and cleaning to save money for her favorite snacks. 

Nikki is survived by her mother and step-father, Penny and Jessie Sharrah; grandparents, Richard and Marilyn McPeak, Kathye and “Bucky” Hohenberger, Ann Sharrah; sisters and brother-in-law, Arizona Akridge and fiancé, Jose Montemayor, Armelia Burchfield, Jessica and Steven Broadrick; aunt, Sonya Morris and husband Curtis, uncles, Bo McPeak and wife Diedra, Mark McPeak and wife Brittany; numerous other relatives; and many friends and caregivers at the Countryside Estates and Oak Ridge Homes.  

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Virginia Collins; great-grandparents, Will and Juanita McPeak and J.T. and Margaret Penny.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Doug Clements officiating.  Interment will follow in the Pollard Cemetery. 

Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday May 26, 2022 at the Clardy Funeral Service Chapel.
