Obituary

Thomas Matthew Wells (aka Tommy and Hollywood), 46 of Idabel, Oklahoma, ascended into the pearly gates of Heaven on November 13, 2021 in Tyler, Texas.  Thomas was born on September 2, 1975 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Thomas was the first of three children of Ricky and Rosemary Dean.

Thomas graduated from Wright City High School and attended Tulsa Welding School, but Thomas’s real passion was music.   He taught himself to play instruments by ear at a very young age and sang in choir both in school and church.

Thomas met the love of his life, Jessica Willis, in 2003 and they were united in marriage on October 29, 2004.  He and Jessica reside in Idabel with their three dogs, Chloe, Charlie (his Golden Boy) and Zoey.  Thomas competed on National Televised Singing Competitions including America’s Got Talent, X-Factor, The Voice, and The Winner Is.  Thomas had an amazing voice and loved singing hymns as well as contemporary music.  He loved to make people laugh.  He always had a smile and loved to joke and give people a hard time.  He was a great entertainer and always became the center of attention.

Thomas was preceded in death by his brother, Justin Todd Wells; his paternal grandfather, Arthur Dean; grandparents-in-law, Jess and Laverne Willis; and aunt, Sylvia Littleton; great-grandfather and great-grandmother, Roy "Pap" and Neomaza Bowling.
