Troy "Pee-wee" Bastible, age 79, of Garvin, Oklahoma, passed away July 13, 2025. He was born
October 7, 1945, to Amos "Ed" Bastible and Willie Marie (Mooney) Bastible.
Troy was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Jimmy Doyle, Travis and an infant brother; his sister,
Anna; niece, Sarah Mitchell; and nephew, Jack Bastible—both of whom he loved as if they were
his own children.
A man who was happiest behind the wheel, Troy had a lifelong love for driving trucks—he
hauled just about everything except cattle. He started driving a tractor at the young age of six and
never lost his passion for it. Whether he was working the land, tending to horses, or spending
cherished time with his grandchildren, Troy was known for his spirited personality and his
ability to “tear stuff up” with a tractor. He was a true cowboy at heart and a family man through
and through.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mavis Bastible; his son, Troy Edmond; daughters, Brenda
“Fawn” Cress and husband David, and Melania “Bug” Bradley; his brother, JV “Buddy”
Bastible; six grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren, and
two great-great-grandchildren on the way. He also leaves behind special nieces Bridgett Bond
and Loretta “Punkin” Bastible, and special nephew Jimmy Bastible, both nieces and nephews of
whom he loved as his own.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Clardy
Funeral Service Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00
a.m. at Valliant Church of God, with Sister Joyce Luman and Brother Leon Tims officiating.
Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in the Forest Grove Community.
