Val Gene Threadgill

Val Gene Threadgill Sr., 60 of Tom, passed away October 10, 2023 at his home. He was born March 16, 1963 the son of Luvenia and Monroe Threadgill. He was of the Baptist faith.
Val enjoyed spending time with his family. His children and his grandchildren were very important to him. He was always there for his family. He loved all music, enjoyed fishing and had worked hard all his life. He was especially fond of and close to his twin sister, Wanda.
Val is survived by his fiancé, Tracy Fields of Tom; daughter, Valerie Threadgill of Haworth; sons, Deondra Robinson of Oklahoma City, Val Threadgill Jr. of New Boston, Texas, Douglass Walker of Battiest; brothers, Jerry Threadgill Sr and wife Lisa of Tom, Woodrow Threadgill and wife Georgia of Dekalb; sister, Daisy Stafford and husband Tommie of Tom, Luvenia Flemings and husband Kenneth of Tom, Sarah Ann Flemings of Idabel, Mary Stafford and husband Emmett of Eagletown, Wanda Jean Threadgill and Charles of Idabel; special auntie, Gladys Griffin; first cousin, Tenora Bown; brothers-in-law, Freddie Fields and Edward Fields both of Tom, Horace Adams of Idabel, Wendell Austin of Lockesburg, Arkansas; sisters-in-law, Teresa Johnson and spouse Loyce Cooper of Dallas, Olga Threadgill, Opal Fields of Tom; grandchildren, Valiyah Williams, Valderrius Williams, Larenze Williams, Shanea, Jeremiah Jones; great-grandchildren, Vontrae and Jaden Williams; aunts, Ola Turner, Glenda Threadgill; numerous other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Georgia, Irene, Ernestine, Jacqualine; brothers, Geoge H., Earnest, Sammy Lee, Billy Jean; and brother-in-law, Clarence Flemings.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the Community Baptist Church in Tom, Oklahoma. Interment will follow in the Alfred French Cemetery, Foreman, Arkansas.
