Verbia Ryan, 83 of Idabel, passed away August 7, 2019 at Texarkana, Texas. She was born August 31, 1935 at Idabel, Oklahoma, the daughter of Frank and Ethel Brockus.
Verbia worked for the State of Oklahoma and traveled over seventeen counties training individuals. She enjoyed crocheting beautiful afghan throws which she would lovingly give to her family and friends. She loved to cook and bake, sew, and play with her great-grandbaby. She also loved the Statler Brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Kay Parker; brothers, James Brockus, Charles Brockus and Sonny Brockus.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Mitchell Blakely; daughter, Debra Whitten; grandson, Cody Whitten; granddaughters, Brandie Blakely, Geordan Coleman; great-granddaughter, Felicity Coleman; nephew, David Brockus; nieces, Tonya Parker, Patricia Parker, Jessica Kupke; numerous other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2019 at the Denison Cemetery Pavilion with Bro. John Coleman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Clardy Funeral Service.
