Vonda Kay Cole

Vonda Kay Cole, 60 of Idabel, passed away April 4, 2026 at her home. She was born
September 15, 1965 the daughter of Esther Lene Cole. She was preceded in death by
her mother, grandchildren, Elias Cole and Aurora Cole; lifelong partner, James Braxton;
brother, Oscar Albarado; aunts, Doris Courson and Auntie Jean; uncle, Kenneth Cole;
cousin, Sammie Cole; nephew, Juan Perez, Diego Alvarez and special friend,
Stephanie Caldwell.
A kind-hearted and caring woman, Vonda often put herself before others. She was
strong and faced life’s challenges with determination. Her grandkids were her greatest
joy and she loved spending time with them and her children and family. She enjoyed
cooking, fry bread was her specialty. She also enjoyed shopping, especially yard sales
and she loved scrolling through Facebook.
She is survived by her sons, Marcus Cole, Jared Cole and spouse Crystal Scott, Jesse
Cole, Jimmy Cole and spouse Amanda Taylor; daughters, Jae Cole and spouse
Jatavious Beard Sr, Alyssa Cole and spouse Benny Neal; brothers, Santiago Albarado
and spouse Alex Albarado, Selso Albarado; sisters, Esperanza Albarado, Lupe Albarado,
Angela Albarado, Brenda Payne Cole; grandkids, Akilah Keeton and spouse Chadwick Keeton Sr, Aryanna Wyatt, Ne’Vaeh
Cole, Jazlene Beard, Jasias Cole Gray, Jimil Cole, Jatavious Beard Jr. “Tunnie”; great-
grandkids, Chadwick Keeton Jr. and a sweet baby boy on the way that she already
loved; special friends, Robin McLaughlin, Sharon Grass, Tenesha Warhop; numerous
other relatives and many friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Clardy
Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Carolyn Hicks officiating.
