Walter "Snookie" Lowe, 84, of Idabel, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025. He was born on September 2, 1940, in Gas City, Indiana, to Harry and Madeline Lucille Lowe.
Walter proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961. He was a huge college basketball fan, Texas Tech being his favorite team to watch. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandpa who deeply cherished time with his family.
On February 12, 1961, he married the love of his life, Carmen, at his family home in Gas City. Their enduring love and partnership spanned over six decades.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carmen Lowe; son, Doug Lowe and spouse Gloria; daughter, Michelle Ashalintubbi and spouse Lane; brother, Steven Lowe and spouse Linda; sisters, Patty Vierling and Tish Yanis and spouse Rudy; grandchildren, Ashley Lowe, Arielle Lowe, Scotty Lowe, Tyler Short and spouse Jade, Aaron Short, Nathan Short, and Sara Graham and spouse Gavin; great-grandchildren, Liam Graham and Melonie Grosso; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
