Walter "Sonny" Watson

Walter “Sonny” Watson, 79 of Idabel, passed away May 17, 2019 at Idabel.  He was born October 3, 1939 at Fort Worth, Texas the son of Jewel Wells and Walter Watson, Jr.   

Sonny was a veteran of the United States Navy and he worked as a machinist for Amco.  He had lived in Texas most of his life before coming to Idabel four years ago.

Sonny was an avid fan of the Houston Texans and motorcycle riding.  

He is survived by his wife, Ollie Watson of the home; sons, Mark Watson and Lance Watson; daughter, Angie Burton; bonus children, Susie Miller, Janie and Terry Gilley, Rhonda and Wynn Collier, Becky and Bryan Austin; brother, Charles Vaughn; sister, Deann Simmons; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, other relatives and friends.

Sonny was preceded in death by his birth parents.

Family and friends will gather for a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the home of Ollie Watson.
