Wanda J. Cursh, 71 of Haworth, went to her heavenly home November 4, 2023. She was born March 2, 1952, the daughter of Isaac and Minnie Fields. She married William Cursh and had 3 children.
A devout Christian woman, Wanda studied her bible each morning and she loved attending church. She enjoyed visiting family and friends and connecting with people on Facebook. She was always lending a helping hand to those in need. She was such a giving person. She was a loving momma and grandma who cherished her children and grandchildren.
Wanda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Marcus and Shanika Cursh; grandsons, Treveon Hayes and Demarcus Cursh; God son, Stacey Colbert; God daughter, Carena Gunter; God grandson and great-nephew, Rayquan Larry; sister, Ola Faye Turner and husband Joe; sisters-in-law, Doris Shoal, Juanita Shoal, Alisa Mae Hooks, Juanita Burris, Glenda Byrd; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Fields, Sr. and Minnie “Sally” Johnson Fields; husband, William Cursh; daughter, Vickie Cursh; son, William Cursh, Jr.; sisters, Ophelia Fields, Mary Fields, Leatha Mae Fields; brothers, Sylvester, Isaac Jr., Johnny Mack, Leroy James (known as “Tom Low”) and Ray Charles.
A homegoing celebration will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Community Missionary Baptist Church at Tom, Oklahoma. Interment will follow in the Alfred French Cemetery, Foreman, Arkansas.
