Wilda LaNell Hendrix, age 97, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, in
Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
Born on April 24, 1928, to Arnold and Dora (Burke) Kincaid, Wilda lived a long
and fulfilling life rooted in love, service, and family. She was preceded in death by
her parents; her beloved husband, John Paul Hendrix; her daughter, Patricia Kolb
and husband Joe; son-in-law, David Jenkins; her sister, Sue Kincaid; and her
brothers, Lance and Lennell Kincaid.
Wilda had a love for nature and spent many joyful hours bird watching, planting
flowers, and tending to her garden. Her nurturing spirit extended to her community
through her longtime membership at First United Methodist Church in Idabel. She
served as secretary at the County Superintendent's Office, where she was known
for her dedication and warmth.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Paula Jenkins; grandchildren, Jamie
Staggs and husband Louis, Paul Kolb and wife Mary, and Sandy Hale; great-
grandchildren, Erin, Angelina, Wil, and Mikel; and her special friend and nephew,
Tommy Hendrix and wife Iryna. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews,
extended family, and friends who were touched by her kindness and grace.
A private graveside celebration of Wilda’s life will be held.
